The Sequoyah Drama/Speech/Debate Department is dedicated to developing an invested level of interest within the world of performing arts that not only promotes strong performing and public speaking skills but also prepares the students for further opportunities at the collegiate level. Students have the opportunity to take classes that fulfill their Fine Arts, Native Studies or 5th English credit in courses that involve the study of Dramatic Literature, Acting, Costuming, Theatre History, Native Storytelling, Musical Theatre, Speech & Debate, and also the OSSAA Speech/Debate Competitive Program. The dept. also puts on 2 main stage productions each year.
